DVNC Intern Log Week 7 – Endgame – Isabella Haro

We’re In the Endgame Now, Boys

What feels like my entire adult has been spent on the same environment for SET VR. But now, after all this time, we are in the phase of finishing touches. Lighting and nit-picking are the final steps, the dessert on the artistic cake.

When rendering a 40 hour painting, for example, the 39 hours that make up the “work” can make you feel like a grunt, hammering along. But it’s those sweet, juicy final minutes that make the hours of decisions beforehand oh so sweet. Sometimes just adding that dot of white in the eye can make all the difference.

Below are some fun UV’s and textures!

All this is to say that I am excited to see this particular quest all the way through, and that I am excited for the future of it! I can’t wait to play SET VR one day in my Oculus Quest and play in this level and go “Dang, I missed a spot” or something self-deprecating like that. Artists know how it is.

My goals this upcoming week are unclear, as I don’t even know what to do with myself beyond this model anymore. Haha, Just kidding of course. I would imagine some kind of branding/ marketing stuff? I don’t even know. I’m just chillin!

Media of the week- Enjoy our Queen Claire just having fun in the test kitchen! We love her.
