Dev Log #03 – Jack Heyen

What I Worked On This Week:

This week was a combination of two focuses. My first focus was my normal obligation of managing the designated social media accounts. I have begun to start incorporating more types of media beyond just images, such as videos. I’m hoping to continue testing algorithms and see what would make the most sense to promote growth and engagement in both the accounts.

The second focus for this week was a game jam I worked on with several other COOPs. I mostly contributed with doing some art assets, and we worked on our project for the entire week and submitted it on Monday.

My Plans For Next Week:

My upcoming plans for this week are relatively the same, as I hope to continue attempting to grow the designated social media accounts as I schedule posts our throughout the week. I’ve been hoping to schedule posts further in advance as well as edit some of them for a more polished feel and it’s something I hope to find achievable in the near future.

My Choice Of Media:

My choice of media for this week is a game I have revisited recently named 7 Days to Die. This is a game that has been in development for years and still has large strides to take, yet every time I play with friends I still really enjoy myself.

The main premise is it being a sandbox survival game, with a horde of zombies attacking yourself every seven in game days. You have to fight through a zombie infested world building yourself and a base up from nothing and survive as long as you can.
