For the most part, I’ve been working on a competitor analysis for Rosett. I’m looking at gacha games, mobile multiplayer games, and endless runners. It’s been interesting to research things like revenue and overall reviews of these games. Each game has their strengths and weaknesses, and it can be a bit difficult to sift through reviews on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
This hasn’t been a super easy task and it’s taken me about two days. I think it’ll be valuable information for the development of Rosett, however. I’m happy to go through and do some research on more games if necessary as well.
Aside from that, I’m actually supposed to download and play some mobile games to get a better feel for them. I haven’t been able to get to this yet, but that should be a nice break from some of the harder work.
I’m also about to work on some more worldbuilding for Rosett, which I’m looking forward to.
I’ll be continuing my Rosett work next week. I have meetings today and tomorrow about writing and should be able to get into it over the weekend and into next week.
Aside from that I have to make a GDD for the Rosett Prototype Design. I also have to make some mock screens for the Rosett Prototype, which I’ve only done a handful of times before. Overall I definitely have my work cut out for me in the next few weeks!
The Steam summer sale ended a week or so ago, and my boyfriend gifted me this game. I hadn’t really heard of it before, but apparently it’s fairly similar to Stardew Valley. Stardew is one of my favorite games currently and I’ve played way too much of it. Based on the trailer, it does seem similar in some aspects, but has much more involved combat than Stardew.
I’m super excited to download and play this game, as it seems like one I’d really enjoy. The art style is really fun and I’m intrigued by the story. Looking forward to playing this and the other games I picked up during the sale!
