Prototype Brand Document Final
So far, this is the final version of my Village Brand Guide. It covers all of the bases it was meant to, now that I corrected the color palette areas and added the button treatments. Overall, I think it looks pretty alright. I think the font is fitting, the logos work well enough and could be even greater with some minor adjustments, and the color palette captures the right vibe. With some rearranging and more professional input, the Village Brand Guide could be even better and readily represent The Village. However, this was my individual work and with some deliberation among other artists, we will be combining and narrowing our vision down. I’m really excited for this later phase and look forward to how the brand will shape up!
Rosett Prototype Fantasy Assets
I’m finally starting to work on the assets again! This work is pretty steady for me and does not challenge my abilities quite like the brand guide did, but it is loads of fun. I love the fantasy assets especially because I am allowed to make really funky things like this weird dude. It’s translucent through the body but the leaves and orbs are opaque. I’m excited on what the team thinks because even though its pretty simple, this is one of my favorite designs yet.
Now that I’m back in Miami, I’m surrounded by tropical flora that I can pull inspiration from! This flower is pretty big but I think if used correctly, can make an environment look really cool and biodiverse.
I haven’t received any feedback for these plants yet but I think this bush is pretty standard, and not in a bad way. It can be used in a variety of places and is meant to be repetitive. With some scaling tricks and clustering, it can work pretty well! Other than that, I will wait for instruction to fix it if necessary.
This Week’s Media
I really love Dragon Quest XI and was looking forward to this game for a long time! I can’t wait for break to start so that I may really dive into this game without any distraction. I’m still waiting for news on Dragon Quest XII but this will do for now, even if it is just a spinoff. This game looks super cute and fun and would love to know if anyone else has played it yet.
